Howrah city situated in West Bengal state of India has an area of 63.55 km.sq and the population residing in that city is more than 48 Lakhs or say 4.8 million. While, Central African Republic has an area of 6,22,000 km.sq and the population residing in that mostly habitable area is just less than Howrah and the exact figure is 46 Lakhs or say 4.6 million. The fact is surprising, isn't it? However Howrah city has developed a lot in past decades. Such a comparison is joy for Central Africans as they have a huge area in their nation as compared to their sizable population and the most amazing fact is that CAR (Central African Republic) is resource rich nation in terms of gold, uranium and diamonds and apart from it CAR has a handsome amount of mineral rich agricultural land along with rising animal husbandry occupation. CAR, if managed in right manner with accurate management can feed up to more than half of the African continent. This is the 1st part of the story which is only based on facts. Now, 2nd part of the story is much more shocking and its a reality based concept. Despite having tremendous gold and diamond resources, agricultural resources, availability of labors, milk production and much more CAR is one of the most poor country in the world. 79% or 3/4 of the population of CAR survives below the poverty line and they are not capable enough to spend $1/per day on basic necessities like food and water. CAR has worlds worst medical system and it nearly exists virtually in all parts of the nation except the capital city of Bangui. Even before corona pandemic, CAR was already hit by the severe epidemic of malaria and other similar diseases. The authorities of CAR aren't able to fight with diseases like malaria despite of having so many resources and such less population in a huge area, but the authorities stay defined. United Nations, United States, Russia and dozens of other nations provide regular relief packages, food and medical support to CAR and the government of CAR is also working officially but still 3/4 of the population is yet to be reached and they are waiting for any authority to help them. Can a nation be developed only on basis of numerous resources, huge land mass, controlled population and armed forces?If It is so then why Japan is developed with minimum resources and why Colombia, Libya and Uganda are facing economical and other various crisis despite of being resource rich nations? Its the government that plays an important role, its the government which is responsible for resource management. CAR is a best example of failed government which just gave its people political instability, high inflation and a tag of "poor nation of the world." In democracy the people of the nation have power and they should be responsible enough to make a right choice for a better future of the nation. Will CAR comeback on the right track and gain development with accurate use of the resources or will the authorities stay as it is with the nation sinking in the ocean of poverty?
